Film Independent To Offer TWILIGHT SAGA Fans The Ultimate Red Carpet World Premiere Experience

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Film Independent, the nonprofit arts organization that produces the Film Independent Spirit Awards and Los Angeles Film Festival, announced it will bring TWILIGHT SAGA fans a once in a lifetime experience when it auctions off a VIP package for the upcoming red carpet world premiere of Summit Entertainment's THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2. The event is sure to be a night to remember with the film's stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and many more confirmed to attend.

On October 30, TWILIGHT SAGA fans will be able to bid on a VIP package available on charitybuzz.com via the link http://www.charitybuzz.com/catalog_items/3185115 with the winner receiving four tickets offering exclusive access at the world premiere on November 12. The night begins with a pre-reception hosted by Film Independent with the film's director Bill Condon and actors from THE TWILIGHT SAGA scheduled to attend. Following the reception, the winner and their guests will be escorted to the Nokia Theatre where they will take their VIP seats for the world premiere of the film. Following the screening, they'll attend the official after party where the film's cast will be celebrating the film's arrival to screens on November 16, 2012.

To date, THE TWILIGHT SAGA franchise has grossed over $2.5 billion in worldwide box office.  Knowing the in-demand tickets would raise funds for the nonprofit, Condon, who is also the sitting Chairman of Film Independent's Board of Directors, brought the world premiere opportunity to the nonprofit along with the help of Summit Entertainment, a LIONSGATE® company.

Bidding for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2 world premiere package will begin on October 30 and conclude November 7.  The highest bidder will receive confirmation and instructions on how to claim their prizes. The funds raised will go towards supporting Film Independent's mission and year-round programs, including Project Involve, which is dedicated to increasing diversity in the film industry by cultivating the careers of under-represented filmmakers.

Summit Entertainment will release THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2 in theatres on Friday, November 16, 2012.
