Filtrona Porous Technologies Appoints Dr. Chandrasiri Jayakody as Director - R&D, Foam Technology

ST. CHARLES, Mich., April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Filtrona Porous Technologies, developer and manufacturer of custom fluid handling, fiber and foam technology components, and a division of UK-based Filtrona plc, today announces the appointment of Chandrasiri "Chandra" Jayakody, Ph.D., as Director - R&D, Foam Technology.

Dr. Jayakody joins Filtrona Porous Technologies from Chestnut Ridge Foam, Inc.  He received his Ph.D. in Organic/Polymer Chemistry in 1994 from Marquette University (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) and completed his postdoctoral training at both Marquette and the Florida Institute of Technology, where he worked in the fields of polyurethane/silicone elastomers and flexible polyurethane foams.  Dr. Jayakody is the author/co-author of more than 35 publications and/or public presentations on foam composition and processing.
