Final Call: Social Madness Presented by Capital One Spark Business Kicks off its National Phase

WHAT:

Coming off of the successful open and local phases of its one-of-a-kind social media challenge, The Business Journals invites you to continue to vote for the Social Madness national champion. Presented by Capital One Spark Business, Social Madness offers small, medium and large companies the chance to pit their social media strategies against each other in a tournament-style challenge.

The challenge measures the growth of a company's social media presence as it competes through multiple rounds of competition. So far, the over 3,900 companies that have participated in Social Madness have had over six million social media connections, offering them the chance to interact with new customers and reconnect with longstanding brand enthusiasts. In addition, over 600,000 votes have been cast through the Social Madness website.

Individual market winners in the three company size categories have been chosen for the 43 cities across the U.S. in addition to 63 wild card companies chosen based on a comparison of all final scores.  For a complete list of companies advancing to the national competition, visit http://www.bizjournals.com/socialmadness/.

WHEN:

The final chapter of the Social Madness challenge will run from July 24-September 10th, with the winner for each company size category being announced September 12th.

WHY:

It's not too late for your vote to count! Votes are reset every round, so even if you've voted in the past, make sure that you're continuing to support your favorite brands throughout the rest of the summer.

Your vote not only will help to increase the national visibility of your favorite local businesses, but also help to decide which of the national phase participants will receive $10,000 to donate to the charity of their choice, courtesy of The Business Journals and Capital One Spark Business.
