Get ready for round 2 of the D/FW Metroplex mayors' 3 point shootout competition in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters and H.O.P.E. Farm, Inc.
IRVING, Texas, Jan. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- In a spirited match up on the afternoon of January 21, 2014 at SMU's Moody Coliseum in Dallas, TX, Dallas Deputy Police Chief Jesse Reyes coached from the sidelines, while honorary team captain Dallas City Councilman Adam Medrano led their team of SMU women's basketball players to victory in round one of the Little Big Shot Mayoral 3-Point Shootout. The final score was 213 - 210 against Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne and members of the University of Dallas women's basketball team.

Round two of the Mayoral Shootout will feature Mayor Betsy Price of Fort Worth and TCU players shooting against Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck and players from the UTA basketball team. The winner will square off with Dallas to determine the mayor's tournament winner. The Mayor's trophy will be awarded at Little Big Shot's "Jocks and Jerseys" gala on March 16, at H.O.P.E. Farm.

The mayor's shootouts are the kickoff to Little Big Shot's fund raising tournament season, with the Dallas/ Fort Worth area tournament scheduled for March 22, 2014. One hundred sponsored teams, in seven divisions, will shoot out in the 3-point challenge to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters and H.O.P.E. Farm.
