States across the country are reporting high flu activity, rivaling the high 2014-2015 levels. Since the virus is spread through touch, especially touching the mouth, nose, and eyes, washing hands after touching public or shared surfaces is essential for prevention. For those inclined, it might be a good idea to have hand sanitizer readily available.
