Finzly Goes Live with RTP® Request for Payment capability, giving financial institutions new ways to originate, receive and respond to payment requests through APIs and digital experiences.

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Finzly, a leader in modern banking technology, today announced it is technically certified to provide Request for Payment (RfP) functionality to financial institution participants of the RTP® network, operated by The Clearing House, following the successful go-live of the capability at one of its bank customers.

The deployment gives the bank the ability to originate, receive and respond to payment requests through APIs and customer-facing digital experiences. RfP remains an emerging capability in U.S. banking.

Request for Payment allows a business or consumer to send a payment request through their bank, which the recipient can review and approve before the payment is made. Once approved, the payment can settle in seconds over the RTP® network operated by The Clearing House or the FedNow® Service operated by the Federal Reserve.

The opportunity extends beyond a bank's own digital channels. Through APIs, banks can make RfP available to platforms and businesses looking to build instant pay-by-bank experiences into their own applications and workflows. That creates new opportunities across areas such as bill and invoice payments, loan payments, account funding, marketplace transactions and business-to-business payments.

For banks, complete RfP capabilities can create new ways to support both sides of a transaction — helping customers request money as well as make payments. It also gives banks a way to participate in payment experiences that increasingly begin outside the traditional banking channel.

Finzly's RfP capability is delivered through Payment Galaxy, its unified and API-first payment platform for banks.
