Fircroft & GATE Energy Form Kazakhstan Joint Venture

HOUSTON, Sept. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Global recruitment and workforce solutions provider Fircroft and international engineering and commissioning services provider GATE Energy, have joined forces to create a Kazakhstan-focused joint venture.

The move comes as GATE Energy seeks to broaden the geographic footprint of operations into the heart of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region. Alongside this, Fircroft is looking to broaden its service portfolio into the realm of commissioning services.

The joint venture takes the form of a limited liability partnership named Fircroft /GATE LLP.

Commenting on the formation of the joint venture, Johnathan Johnson, Fircroft Chief Executive, said, "Fircroft has been operating in Kazakhstan for over 18 years and today has 10 offices across the country serving the biggest technical and engineering companies. Kazakhstan's oil and gas industry continues to enjoy robust growth across its complete value chain from upstream and midstream through to downstream operations. The country is also experiencing high levels of foreign direct investment as operators modernize production facilities and develop downstream and petrochemical facilities. The joint venture will aim to provide value added services to these developments.
