FiREapps Earns Rigorous Information Security ISO/IEC 27001 Certification
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., May 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- FiREapps, the leader in Corporate Currency Analytics, recently earned the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification, confirming their commitment to information and data security.
The certification validates that FiREapps has adopted a rigorous set of criteria aimed at providing stringent security over its information assets.
To obtain certification to ISO/IEC 27001, companies are required to implement and maintain a strong information security management system (ISMS) adhering to a set of processes created to mitigate the risks associated with information and data assets. FiREapps selected British Standards Institution, (BSI) to conduct an independent audit for its certification. BSI developed the first standard for information security, BS 7799, which formed the basis for what became the internationally-recognized standard for information security, ISO/IEC 27001.
