First Michigan Bank Names New Managing Director

TROY, Mich., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- First Michigan Bank announced today that Mary M. Fowlie has joined the organization as managing director of regulatory affairs.  This is a new position at First Michigan Bank.

Ms. Fowlie will serve as the bank's compliance officer and Community Reinvestment Act officer, managing all regulatory compliance and community reinvestment act compliance.  She will supervise compliance examinations, monitor changes in law and regulation, and keep senior management advised of those changes to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations. Fowlie will also provide training as needed to ensure the bank staff is aware of regulatory changes and will provide legal counsel to the residential mortgage business line.

Fowlie holds a law degree from Michigan State University, Detroit College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan.  She is active in her community, currently or recently serving on the boards of organizations including: Michigan Bankers Association, Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission, Northern Initiatives, Michigan Women's Foundation, Habitat for Humanity of Michigan, The Salvation Army, Builders Industry Association Foundation, and Lighthouse Community Development.
