First Official e-Voting with Blockchain-Technology Successfully Realized

LUCERNE, Switzerland, December 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --

An e-voting procedure using blockchain technology was pioneered by the Californian Voting Corp for student elections at the Swiss University of Lucerne in early December 2017. This e-voting process is more reliable than other existing online-voting solutions for two main reasons. First off, voting secrecy is guaranteed through an end-to-end encryption along with an integrated decoupling of voter identity and the underlying vote through a cryptographic Mix-Net. At the same time, the process allows voters to verify the integrity of their vote throughout the election, as these facts are stored on a blockchain.
