First Take is proud to announce the first event, in our ongoing, Celebrity Masters Series. The masters series is designed to offer insight and learning into the Hollywood experience. Come join some of the best actors and casting directors in Hollywood. Learn about their journey navigating the Hollywood world and how they grew to success in one of the hardest industries in America. For the first event in the series, we have two hugely talented guests: Casting Director Victoria Burrows and Actor Clifton Collins, Jr. All proceeds from the event will go to Victoria's Dog Rescue: Star Paws Rescue.

About Victoria Burrows:

Victoria is the influential casting director of huge motion pictures including Flight, Cast Away, The Walk, King Kong, and all of the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films, just to name a few. As the go-to casting director for Peter Jackson and Robert Zemeckis, she has cast and auditioned some of Hollywood's biggest actors.  She has been called a star maker because she finds incredible talent and propels them into the mainstream spotlight. A key example of this was Viggo Mortensen, who played Aragorn in Lord of the Rings. As a three decade veteran of show business, she was named, by Backstage, one of the top casting directors in the industry. She is respected and admired in the casting community as one of the best casting directors of this age. Victoria is not just a mega successful casting director, she is also a huge supporter and lover of animals. In 2005 she began rescuing and fostering dogs and founded Star Paws Rescue.

About Clifton Collins Jr.:

Clifton who is currently starring in HBO's mega hit series, Westworld, began his acting career in 1988, and has been working consistently ever since. He has starred in the huge Hollywood movies: Traffic, Capote, Star Trek, Pacific Rim and major hit TV shows: Westworld, Ballers, Cleaners, and Red Window to name a few. With over one hundred credits to his name, he has become a go to actor, for many of Hollywood's casting directors. Proving that he cannot be typecast, he has portrayed a police officer, boxer, serial killer, outlaw, soldier, doctor and many, many more characters in his almost thirty year career.

Clifton is brilliant to watch because he brings a beautiful, nuanced and intricate view of humanity into every role in plays, including his roles as serial killers, Perry Smith and Kenneth Bianchi in Capote and Rampage: The Hillside Strangler Murders. One of the highest honors an actor can achieve is winning a SAG award because it is voted on by one's peers and in 2000, Clifton won a SAG award for his brilliant performance in Traffic.
