F.L. Putnam Investment Management Company Names R. Thomas Manning, Jr. as CEO and President

WELLESLEY, Mass., Dec. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- F.L. Putnam Investment Management Company ("F.L. Putnam"), an independent registered investment advisor with $1.4 billion in assets under management, has appointed R. Thomas Manning, Jr. to Chief Executive Officer and President. He succeeds John V. Carberry, the firm's President, who is retiring from his role after fifteen years with the firm. Mr. Carberry will continue with the firm in an advisory role in 2016.

Mr. Manning has more than twenty-five years of experience in leadership positions in the investment management industry. Most recently he was Chief Investment Officer and a member of the Executive Committee at Boston Private Wealth LLC, the wealth management division of Boston Private Bank & Trust Company, which manages and advises on more than $8 billion in assets. Prior to Boston Private Wealth, Mr. Manning served as CEO and Chief Investment Officer at Silver Bridge Advisors. Previously, he was Managing Director of Portfolio Advisory Services for Bank of America where he oversaw 60 portfolio managers and $26 billion in assets for the Private Banking division. He received an MS in finance from the Boston College Carroll School of Management and a BA from Clark University.
