Flexport Expands Executive Team, Adding A Chief Financial Officer, President of Asia, and Chief Marketing Officer

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Flexport, the modern freight forwarder, today announced three additions to its leadership team: Sudhanshu Priyadarshi as Chief Financial Officer, Huey Lin as President of Asia, and Jeff Thomas as Chief Marketing Officer. These executives are proven leaders in their fields and will accelerate Flexport's global growth and position as the leading technology-powered freight forwarder.

In the past year, Flexport has doubled its headcount to over 1,000, expanded its global presence to nine offices, strengthened high-value services including trade finance, insurance, and customs brokerage, and added key services such as air freight, trucking, and warehousing. Flexport is the 8th fastest growing company in the U.S. according to the Inc. 5000 list and reached $237 million in sales in 2017 with 2018 on track for record sales growth. These three additions to the executive team bring multiple decades of combined experience in technology, eCommerce, retail, and global operations, and will be highly strategic in Flexport's continued growth.

Sudhanshu Priyadarshi joins as Flexport's first Chief Financial Officer and will lead all financial operations for the company. He has more than 20 years of experience and brings deep financial and operational knowledge in eCommerce, retail, pharmaceutical and consumer goods in the U.S., Asia, and Australia. Most recently, he was Vice President of Finance for Walmart U.S. eCommerce, driving all retail finance operations for Walmart.com, Hayneedle.com, Shoes.com, Moosejaw.com, Vudu.com, Store No. 8, and Walmart's partnership with Google. Before Walmart, he was the Global Chief Operating Officer of Cipla, a $6 billion market cap global pharmaceutical company and Chief Financial Officer of PepsiCo's Global Nutrition Platforms and Global R&D.

Huey Lin joins Flexport as President of Asia. She spent more than a decade at PayPal, where she led China and Asia-Pacific operations in addition to serving in key leadership roles in product, international risk, and policy strategy. For the past six years, Huey has been the Chief Operating Officer at Affirm, a leading financial technology company led by Max Levchin, co-founder of PayPal. Huey will oversee all activity for Flexport across Asia, which is one of the company's fastest growing and most strategic geographies.

Earlier this year, Flexport announced $100 million in funding from SF Express, the leading courier company in China. With Huey's extensive knowledge of the business landscape in China, she will be instrumental in helping Flexport expand its services along the critical Trans Pacific Eastbound trade route (TPEB), which connects Asia and the U.S. and is one of Flexport's largest and most critical trade routes.

Most recently, he served as Chief Marketing Officer of Periscope Data, the leading advanced analytics and business intelligence platform for data-driven brands.
