Flipboard Enters New Publisher Partnerships To Fuel People's Passions

PALO ALTO, Calif., Oct. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Flipboard today announced 65 new publications available on its platform through partnerships with publishers Bonnier, Rodale and The Enthusiast Network (TEN). The new titles, such as Motor Trend, Working Mother and Runners World, add breadth and depth to the topics people follow on Flipboard. In the months ahead Flipboard will add more sources and important voices to the diversity of passions people follow on the platform.

The new publications are now available to Flipboard's 90 million monthly readers. In addition, the individual stories from the different publications will be indexed across the platform so readers can discover the content in related topics. Flipboard's algorithms are able to categorize content from all 65 sources and match the individual stories to the topics people are searching for — for example, an article about the upcoming snowboarding season in TransWorld SNOWboarding could appear in the snowboarding topic on Flipboard and be discovered by readers who may not be explicitly following the magazines. Readers can also collect this new content into their personal Flipboard Magazines using the plus symbol on articles. That action will boost the story to a user's followers and increase distribution for the publisher.
