Florida High School Student Wins BistroMD Writing for Wellness Essay Competition

NAPLES, Fla., May 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- BistroMD, the nation's leading physician-designed, chef-prepared diet meal delivery company, selected Florida high school student Caily Horbal as the winner of the first annual BistroMD Writing for Wellness essay competition.

Horbal was announced as the grand prize winner at an awards ceremony held at Barron Collier High School in Naples, Florida, on May 19th. Horbal's essay, "Emotional Eating and the Desire to Look Good," examined the condition of emotional eating, a topic that is very prevalent among youth across the nation today. What the judges found particularly compelling about Horbal's essay was her real-life perspective on the issue, and her moving portrayal of coping with the condition herself.

As the grand prize winner of BistroMD's Writing for Wellness essay competition, Horbal received a $500 college savings bond, and her essay will be featured in the nationally distributed BistroMD newsletter.

All essays emphasized the importance of a healthy diet and were written to inspire others to make healthy lifestyle choices.
