MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- FlyOver® America, one of the newest family attractions at Mall of America®, will transform into a magical winter wonderland this holiday season in Nickelodeon Universe®. From November 25, 2016 to January 2, 2017, guests will help Santa Claus search for his missing elves during an exhilarating multimedia flight across America and up to the North Pole. Some may even be able to catch a whiff of Mrs. Claus' baking as they swoop over her Gingerbread factory!
The FlyOver®America attraction is a flight simulation ride that takes you, your family and friends on a breathtaking aerial journey over some of America's most spectacular landscapes (from the Grand Canyon to the Statue of Liberty) using the latest in ride flight technology. Guests sit suspended with their legs dangling 10 to 25 feet above the ground in specialized ride vehicles, as they move in concert with the film. With the addition of special effects (scent, mist, wind), riders actually feel like they are flying!
As part of this special holiday edition of FlyOver America, the ride's entrance has been transformed into a winter wonderland. Before even fastening their seatbelts, participants can begin their holiday voyage by mailing a letter to Santa! To be delivered to Santa's workshop in time for Christmas, guests will be able to send letters through Sunday, Dec. 18.
A fun and festive seasonal adventure, FlyOver America is the perfect way to ring in the holiday season with the entire family. Tickets for adults ages 13 and up are $16.95, while tickets for children ages 12 and under are $12.95. Children must be at least 40" (3 ft. 4 in) to participate on the ride, and children 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult or guardian aged 14 years or older.
