Brenda Kirk takes on new VP of strategy role after successful run as sales leader; Nancy Stickney comes to Hyland from Microsoft as VP of sales
CLEVELAND, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Founded in 1991, Hyland Software is today the world's second largest independent enterprise content management (ECM) software vendor. After five successful years as Hyland's sales leader, Brenda Kirk is taking on this challenge in the newly created role of VP of strategy. Succeeding Brenda as VP of sales is Nancy Stickney. Under Brenda's leadership, Hyland's total revenues increased from $68.2 million in 2005 to $133.5 million in 2009. This represents a 96 percent growth in total revenue. Between 2006 and 2009, according to Gartner, Hyland's compound annual growth for total ECM license revenue was 22 percent, which was more than double the ECM industry rate of 10 percent.
Nancy Stickney joins Hyland Software after eight years and a variety of diverse roles with Microsoft. Her experience with the IT powerhouse spanned direct sales, partner management and services. In her most recent position with Microsoft as director of sales and marketing for the U.S. Central region, she led a team of more than 500 sellers across 18 states to three consecutive years of double-digit revenue growth. She did this by focusing on several areas, including competitive differentiation, market share, sustainable growth and customer and partner satisfaction.
