MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Foodsby, Inc., a leading lunch ordering platform connecting office professionals with local restaurants, recently announced Alex Ware has joined the organization as President. Ware previously served as Interim President and EVP and CFO of Buffalo Wild Wings following executive leadership roles at PepsiAmericas, the Pohlad Companies and MicroStar Logistics.
"Alex has the professional experience and industry knowledge to contribute significantly to our growth plans," said Ben Cattoor, CEO, Foodsby. "More importantly, he's a great cultural fit for our organization, and I'm confident his leadership will play a pivotal role to help drive our continued market expansion and business growth."
With a deep operational, financial and distribution background in the restaurant and food and beverage industries, Ware understands the challenges of third-party delivery first hand: to make delivery profitable for restaurant partners yet affordable for consumers. It's those opportunities and challenges that attracted him to Foodsby.
"The restaurant industry is searching for a sustainable delivery model with high quality and reasonable costs. Foodsby is uniquely different from all other delivery services because they allow restaurants to control their own delivery and be more profitable," said Ware. "With $15 million in new funding, this is an exciting time to join Foodsby, accelerate entry into new markets, and better serve our restaurant and building partners."
In addition to Ware, Foodsby continues to expand its leadership team with the addition of Ryan Johnson, who has been named Vice President of Engineering. Johnson brings in-depth experience in scaling engineering teams and technology solutions. He recently served as Vice President, Ad Product and Packaging and Vice President, Engineering at BuzzFeed.
"Ryan is a dedicated, driven technology leader who believes in the Foodsby vision and goals," said Cattoor. With the addition of Ware and Johnson, Foodsby will continue to strengthen its growth trajectory through expansion into 15 or more new markets in 2019, and deepening its talent within the Sales, Marketing and Engineering teams.
