For Fourth Straight Year, Fleishman-Hillard Earns NAFE's 'Top 50 Companies for Executive Women' Honor

Agency Is Only Public Relations Firm to Be Recognized This Year

ST. LOUIS, Feb. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Fleishman-Hillard International Communications has been named to the 2013 "Top 50 Companies for Executive Women" list by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE). In addition to being the only public relations firm recognized, this year's selection marks the fourth consecutive year the agency has been honored.

The list, which will appear in Working Mother magazine's March 2013 issue, highlights organizations whose policies and practices encourage the advancement of women's careers. Results are based on factors such as succession planning, profit-and-loss roles, gender pay parity, support programs and work-life balance.

"One of the ways we succeed as a firm and keep delivering the best results for clients is by attracting, promoting and training the industry's most talented women," said Dave Senay, president and CEO of Fleishman-Hillard. "That's why it's always so gratifying to be recognized for our strong, people-focused workplace culture – whether we're being named a top company for female executives by NAFE or being placed among the best places to work by Advertising Age."

At Fleishman-Hillard, women make up 67 percent of the firm's worldwide workforce and oversee five of the firm's global regions. They also make up half of the agency's corporate executives with profit-and-loss responsibility – a main component of NAFE's ranking. In addition, 72 percent of employees promoted last year were women.

"Fleishman-Hillard continues to impress NAFE with its representation of women in operating positions," said Dr. Betty Spence, NAFE president. "But this year, we're excited to report that the percentage of women with profit-and-loss responsibility has risen from 47 percent last year to 50 percent, demonstrating in solid numbers the company's commitment to women's advancement."

"Women play a major role in our agency's success at all levels, from senior managers to interns – and everyone in between," added Agnes Gioconda, chief talent officer. "And while we're once again incredibly proud to see our efforts recognized, we'll continue to look for ways to provide women the opportunities, training and support they need to grow as leaders."
