Dr. Richard Ford will serve as the company's new Commercial CTO. The Commercial CTO team enables Forcepoint to deliver capabilities that allow customers to secure what matters most – users, data and networks – regardless of the attack vector. Dr. Ford previously served as Forcepoint's Chief Scientist and has a strong track record in the commercial computer and network security sector as well as within academia and research organizations. Past roles include: Professor in the Dept. of Computer Sciences as well as Director of the Harris Institute for Assured Information at the Florida Institute of Technology; President and CEO of the Anti-Malware Testing Standards Organization (AMTSO); along with research and technology roles at Cenetec, LLC, IBM, Command Software Systems and The National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA).

Responsibilities: Partner with customers, internal teams and others to ensure a deep understanding of the rapidly evolving cyber threat landscape – and to integrate this knowledge into product roadmaps. Dr. Ford's expertise in advanced analytics and cyber forensics aligns well with Forcepoint's efforts to deliver user-centric cybersecurity solutions.

Kris Lamb will lead Forcepoint Security Labs, the company's research and development (R&D) team as Vice President, Threat Protection R&D and Security Labs.  Forcepoint Security Labs is chartered with staying at the forefront of innovation, helping the company deliver techniques and approaches to enable customers to manage the evolving landscape of advanced threats. Mr. Lamb most recently led Forcepoint's Threat Protection Research and Development team. His new role will closely align the Threat Protection and Security Labs organizations.

Responsibilities: Lead a team of researchers and engineers who stay on the front end of the advanced threat landscape to help drive Forcepoint's technology strategy with a particular emphasis on user-centric security.

Customer Impact:  With experience in both cybersecurity and cyber R&D (as former VP of Engineering at Bastille and Arbor Networks, and Director of X-Force R&D at IBM), Mr. Lamb will deliver customers next-generation protection technologies against advanced threats.

Brian Shirey will serve as the company's new Chief Architect. Mr. Shirey – who has developed Computer Network Operations (CNO) and vulnerability discovery tools both commercially and for U.S. government agencies – will lead efforts to realize the world-leading security technologies of the companies that together form Forcepoint, as well as new and innovative solutions, in a way that provides new value and security for our customers. Mr. Shirey most recently led Forcepoint Security Labs as Senior Vice President of Research and Development. He previously started and led Raytheon's advanced cyber security groups: SI Government Solutions, acquired by Raytheon in 2008, and Centers of Innovation.

Responsibilities: Mr. Shirey is responsible for driving the architecture for the Forcepoint platform and all products. He will manage architectural governance across all development teams to enhance code reuse, push forward technologies and drive consistent architectural decisions across the organization.

Customer Impact: Mr. Shirey will help customers achieve resilient and consistent security through architectural consistency and excellence across the Forcepoint portfolio.
