Ford is hands-on in building high-tech culture
Ford has teamed up with the University of Michigan, Microsoft and Intel to take the next big thing in in-car connectivity to Maker Faire, the world's largest do-it-yourself ideas festival. Cloud Computing in the Commute, a course taught at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, has students implementing a range of technologies to harness the power of social networks to safely and responsibly connect to the cloud. Using an advanced research platform, the students are building a new class of apps for cars.
