Well, Ford has what may be the ultimate gas-free electric vehicle – the zero-emissions 2011 Transit Connect Electric, going into production later this year with a Force Drive™ electric powertrain manufactured and integrated by Azure Dynamics. Also going into production is the 2011 Transit Connect Taxi, which will help taxi operators make use of renewable biofuels. 2011 Ford Shelby GT500 – ready to hit the racetrack

The Ford Shelby GT500 kicks performance up a few notches for 2011, with an all-new aluminum-block engine that produces 550 hp and 510 ft.-lb. of torque. Taking a cue from the aerospace industry, the new engine uses Plasma Transferred Wire Arc liner coating, which replaces the cast-iron liners typically used in aluminum blocks. Fuel economy is improved due to the lighter engine and aerodynamic enhancements. The new GT500 offers better steering and handling precision, and an optional SVT Performance Package complete with Shelby GT500-exclusive tires, unique styling, lighter wheels, a higher rear axle ratio and stiffer springs.  more...

Ford teams up with PBS to honor African Americans

Ford Motor Company is helping to tell the untold story of African Americans in the military as part of a partnership with PBS with the airing of "For Love of Liberty: The Story of America's Black Patriots." Premiering on most Public Broadcasting System stations nationwide throughout February, this documentary television series salutes African American service men and women and reveres their dedication to the U.S. military.
