PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The CFO Alliance has named veteran financial journalist Ronald Fink director of content. In this newly created position, he will be responsible for ensuring the development and communication of information critical to CFO Alliance members and other C-level executives.
Fink joins The CFO Alliance after more than 20 years in the financial media industry, during which he served in numerous editorial roles, including executive editor of Financial Week, deputy editor of CFO Magazine, CFO.com, and Financial World, and senior editor of U.S. Banker.
"I'm thrilled to be joining The CFO Alliance at such an exciting time in its amazing growth story," said Fink. "CFOs are always interested in interacting with one another, to share experiences and to discuss the issues that keep them up at night, whether it's new regulatory and tax proposals or how to attain bottom line growth in a difficult economy. The CFO Alliance gives them a platform in which to do that, and I look forward to bringing my insights into a CFO's mindset to enhance the discussions."
Launched in Philadelphia in 2007, The CFO Alliance is a peer group created by and designed for senior level financial executives. It offers members an exclusive environment that allows executives to gather, interact and collaborate without being "sold to." The CFO Alliance is a network where advocacy and knowledge sharing are the keys to lasting relationships built on trust.
Since 2007, The CFO Alliance has quickly grown into eight different markets, and has plans to expand domestically and internationally to a total of 25 global markets by the end of 2012. Membership has grown from 47 local CFOs at the initial meeting in 2007 to more than 1,500 CFOs across the country, representing public and private companies as well as nonprofits. Current markets include Philadelphia, Boston, New York City, Charlotte, Washington, D.C., New Jersey, Connecticut and Phoenix.
"Ron is a significant addition to The CFO Alliance team," said Nick Araco, Jr., Esq., president and CEO of The CFO Alliance. "Ron's knowledge of the financial media industry combined with his deep understanding of what CFOs need to succeed will strengthen the valuable service we provide to CFOs as we continue our substantial growth trajectory. We are grateful to our members and founding partner McGladrey for their support and continued involvement in The CFO Alliance."
The CFO Alliance brings together between 80 and 120 leading CFOs every other month in each market for interactive Breakfast Roundtable Meetings, facilitated by the team at The CFO Alliance with help from faculty members of leading business schools. It is through this interactive session that the membership dissects, discusses and debates timely and critical business issues.
