Mr. Schrader's legal track record includes serving in various general counsel positions, having been appointed Vice President and General Counsel of a public company (Home Choice) at age 30, and promoted to President of one of the largest privately held telecommunications tower ownership companies in the country (TrinTel) at age 35. After the successful sale of TrinTel and prior to joining Amy Stewart Law, he launched and managed a boutique law firm providing general counsel services to various companies.
"I've known Tracy since we worked together at Gardere Wynne Sewell, and I have tremendous confidence in his abilities," says Managing Principal Amy Elizabeth Stewart. "Most importantly to our clients, he speaks CFO and has the practical and operational background to assist them in assessing their needs."
With nearly two decades of general counsel and senior management experience, Mr. Schrader brings top-tier business judgment and invaluable operational perspective to the firm's risk management consulting practice. He has overseen the risk management issues currently facing corporate clients: identifying the company's risks, determining which risks should be shifted to insurers, ascertaining the types of insurance needed by the company as well as appropriate limits, working with brokers to ensure the company understands the scope of coverage provided by its insurance program, and undertaking to recover the policy benefits owed under that program.
"I couldn't be more excited about working with Amy again," Mr. Schrader says. "My years as General Counsel, as well as my business operational experience, give me a unique perspective that will benefit our firm's policyholder clients."
Mr. Schrader earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School in 1992, and his bachelor's degree, with highest distinction, from the University of Iowa in 1989.
