Former General Promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer at McLane Advanced Technologies

TEMPLE, Texas, April 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- McLane Advanced Technologies (MAT), a global provider of information technology and logistics solutions, is pleased to announce that Executive Vice President Major General James Chambers, USA (Ret.) has been promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer. Chambers has been with MAT since 2011.

Prior to joining MAT, Major General James Chambers concluded his distinguished career of over 33 years of service as the Director of Logistics, J-4 U.S. Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. He also served as the Commanding General, Sustainment Center of Excellence and Fort Lee, Fort Lee, Virginia, Commanding General/Commandant for United States Army Transportation Center and School at Fort Eustis, Virginia, and the Commander of 13th Corps Support Command COSCOM, Fort Hood, Texas, and Balad, Iraq.

Drayton McLane Jr. is the Chairman of McLane Group and will remain the Chairman and CEO of MAT, an enterprise of McLane Group.
