Former PODS Chairman joins Zippy Shell Board

WASHINGTON, Aug. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Zippy Shell Incorporated, the Washington, DC-based, self-storage and moving company, is proud to announce that Ransom James, Partner & Founding Member of Eagle Merchant Partners, has officially joined its corporate Board of Directors. The announcement follows the recent $25 million strategic growth capital investment from private investment firm Virgo Investment Group LLC ("Virgo").

James played a key role in the investment and growth in self-storage leader PODS as the lead board member for his prior firm, Arcapita, which owned the company from 2007-2015. This resulted in the successful February 2015 sale of PODS for over $1 billion. Ransom also currently serves on the Board of Directors of Chicken Salad Chick, LSO and Vasari and was integrally involved with Church's Chicken, B.R. Lee Industries and Cypress Communications. Prior to Arcapita, Ransom served in the Leveraged Finance group at Merrill Lynch & Co. in New York and in the Corporate Banking group at Wachovia in Charlotte.
