Former United States Congressman Ben Quayle Joins Clark Hill PLC as Senior Director of Government Affairs

PHOENIX, June 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Former Arizona Congressman Ben Quayle has joined Clark Hill PLC's Phoenix and Washington DC offices, as a Senior Director in the firm's Government and Public Affairs Group, Clark Hill Government and Public Affairs Practice Group Leader Charlie Spies announced today. Quayle was previously a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Arizona's third Congressional District.  Quayle joins as part of the firm's commitment to growing their national Government and Public Affairs group.

While in Congress, Quayle was a member of the Committee on the Judiciary, and Vice-Chair of the Subcommittee on Intellectual Property.  He also served on the Committee on Homeland Security, and the Committee on Science, Space and Technology.  During his tenure, Quayle quickly gained the respect of his colleagues on both sides of the aisle.  He was instrumental in passing patent reform during the last Congress.  In addition, he focused on regulatory reform that would make American companies more competitive in the global marketplace.

Prior to serving in Congress, Quayle was Principal and Founder of Tynwald Capital in Scottsdale.  He focused on real estate transactions, franchising opportunities and portfolio management.  He also previously worked as an associate attorney at Snell & Wilmer in Phoenix and Schulte Roth & Zabel in New York, and Gray, Cary Ware & Freidenrich LLP in San Diego. 

Quayle earned his B.A. from Duke University and his J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law.
