Former U.S. Department of Justice Attorney Gregory Asciolla Elected Partner of Labaton Sucharow LLP

For the last six years, Greg has represented businesses in complex antitrust and commodities class actions, including those involving price-fixing, monopolization and price manipulation for Labaton Sucharow. Since joining the Firm, Greg has been responsible with co-counsel for successfully prosecuting several global and national antitrust cases, including In re Air Cargo Shipping Services Antitrust Litigation, which recovered almost $500 million in partial settlements to date. Greg has also served a key role in numerous high-profile antitrust class actions that secured recoveries totaling well over $1 billion.

A regular commentator and frequent speaker on antitrust industry issues and trends, Greg's extensive experience in antitrust law includes litigating matters on behalf of clients worldwide at Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP and Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP. He began his career as an attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division, where he focused on investigating and challenging anticompetitive conduct in the healthcare industry. Additionally, he has specialized knowledge on the extraterritorial reach of U.S. antitrust law.

Greg received his A.B. cum laude from Boston College and his J.D. from Catholic University of America where he served as a member of the Catholic University Law Review and was Co-Founder and Executive Editor of the CommLaw Conspectus: Journal of Communications Law & Policy. Greg is active in the antitrust bar including being recently appointed to a leadership position on the New York State Bar Association Antitrust Section's Horizontal Restraints Committee.
