Global business leader backs human-centric AI as Humanitas prepares for major enterprise deployments and international expansion
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Humanitas AI (www.humanitas.ai), a human-centric AI infrastructure company, today announced the appointment of Hans Vestberg, former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Verizon Communications, as Senior Advisor. Vestberg, also an investor in the company, will support its expansion across the United States and internationally, advising on institutional partnerships, global distribution and growth strategy.
The appointment comes as Humanitas expands strategic partnerships with enterprise employers and government health agencies. Its AI agent, CASEY, is designed to help billions of workers and their families through long-horizon planning and execution across work, health and finances, advancing economic mobility, strengthening workforce stability and improving health outcomes.
"Circumstances differ across countries, but earning a living, staying healthy and caring for a family are connected everywhere," said Vestberg. "Technology hasn't always been built with that in mind. Humanitas is. What attracted me is the opportunity to make AI useful when people need it most. I look forward to helping Phil and the team build the partnerships, distribution and operating capabilities needed to deliver at scale."
Vestberg brings decades of experience leading technology businesses at scale. As Chairman and CEO of Verizon, he led a company serving more than 146 million wireless retail connections. Previously, as President and CEO of Ericsson, he led a global business serving customers in more than 180 countries. He joins Humanitas ahead of new deployments serving employees at several Fortune 50 companies, scheduled to begin January 1, 2027.
"Having a job is not the same as having stability, and keeping a job is not the same as getting ahead," said Phil Chow, Co-founder and CEO of Humanitas. "We are building AI to give people more room to pursue a better future. Hans understands how to make essential technology accessible at an extraordinary scale. His experience will be critical as we bring Humanitas to major workforces and new markets."
