Fortune 500 Firms Team with NYU-Poly to Offer Employees High-Tech Degrees

BROOKLYN, N.Y., Dec. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Booz Allen Hamilton and ManTech International Corporation (Nasdaq:MANT) have joined the Enterprise Learning arm of Polytechnic Institute of New York University (NYU-Poly), a move that enables worldwide employees to earn master's degrees in strategic, high-tech fields--bioinformatics, cyber security, and computer, electrical engineering, industrial, and manufacturing engineering, as well as organizational behavior, among others.

Booz Allen and ManTech join a roster of other corporate partners, whose global employees enroll in online graduate programs at NYU-ePoly, the school's online unit, currently serving more than 1,500 students in highly demanding, advanced studies. Among current corporate partners are AT&T, Goldman Sachs, SAIC, and Northrop Grumman.

In earning NYU-Poly's cyber security master's degree, for example, employees access the school's virtual laboratory, known as VITAL, where they perform hands-on experiments to reinforce concepts delivered during virtual lectures. Online students participate in real-time and e-discussions stimulated by chat, texting, forums, and other media. A dedicated "success manager" helps them adapt to their online environment.
