Fotona Creates Chief Product Officer Role to Accelerate Global Innovation Strategy

MedTech veteran Alasdair Owen joins from Intuitive to lead product strategy and R&D as Fotona invests in its next phase of growth

Owen will report directly to President and CEO Jeff Duchemin and lead the company's global product and innovation strategy, including oversight of Research & Development, product portfolio strategy, and innovation initiatives worldwide.

As Fotona continues to scale globally, the company is investing in its product pipeline and accelerating innovation rooted in evolving practitioner and patient needs, translating those insights into technologies that improve outcomes, experiences, and business success. The new Chief Product Officer role reflects the company's growing focus on expanding treatment categories and accelerating the journey from customer insight to commercialized solutions.

Owen will shape the company's portfolio strategy, strengthen R&D capabilities, and advance solutions across aesthetics, dermatology, dentistry, women's health, and surgery. Working across the organization and in close collaboration with practitioners, he will identify emerging clinical needs and guide the advancement of future product platforms that support practitioners, enhance performance, and improve patient outcomes globally.

He brings extensive global experience in product management and development, upstream marketing, and commercialization within leading MedTech organizations, with a proven track record of leading global product portfolios and partnering with key opinion leaders to shape long-term product strategy and drive measurable impact in complex healthcare markets.
