Foundation for Biomedical Research Wins Four Telly Awards in 32nd Annual Competition

WASHINGTON, June 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Foundation for Biomedical Research (FBR) announced today it has won four Telly Awards during the 2010/2011 season in the 32nd annual Telly Awards competition. Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards honor outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online film and video. Since 2009, FBR has won 16 Telly Awards for its long-form television shows and 60-second TV spots, and earned an Emmy nomination for its acclaimed TV show "Jen's Story."

SurvivorTales: Dakota's Brain, which was filmed at the University of Minnesota, showcases a revolutionary brain cancer vaccine that is saving the lives of dogs with brain cancer and could help people with the same disease. FBR's new 60-second spot "Emma's Story," which aired nationally on 15 networks, was honored with two Telly Awards.
