
Foundation Radiology Group Appoints Tom Skelton, Chief Executive Officer
PITTSBURGH, April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Foundation Radiology Group (FRG), a premier provider of high-quality diagnostic imaging services, headquartered in Pittsburgh, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Skelton as Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Skelton brings over 25 years of experience within the healthcare industry to his new role as CEO of FRG.
Most recently, Mr. Skelton served as President of Technology Services at MED3000, a Pittsburgh-based provider of healthcare management and technology services, with over 1,700 employees across the country. As President of Technology Services, Mr. Skelton's focus was to improve operational efficiency while driving sales growth.
Prior to his work with MED3000, Mr. Skelton was the Founder and CEO of Confluence Medical Systems, a consulting firm created to help accelerate the effective use of information technology in healthcare. While at Confluence, he worked closely with a number of private and small publicly traded firms to assist them in developing and executing growth strategies.
For a period of seven years, starting in March 2000, Mr. Skelton served as Chief Executive Officer of Misys Healthcare Systems, a global, $560m+ organization with over 2,500 employees providing technology services to physicians, hospitals, and home healthcare agencies. During his tenure, he also served as a member of the Misys, Plc Board of Directors.
Prior to leaving Pittsburgh to pursue an opportunity in Raleigh, NC, he served as the Sr. Vice President, Operations for Elcomp Systems, a Pittsburgh-based startup. He was a key part of the leadership team that grew Elcomp from $1m to over $15m in revenue, while receiving national acclaim for the quality of their products and services.
