Founder's Day Event honors those committed to the community and entrepreneurship
Legal services company remembers founder by honoring award recipients
ADA, Okla., Nov. 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The legacy of Harland C. Stonecipher, founder of LegalShield, one of the nation's leading providers of legal safeguards, will forever live on as the company has named November 10 "Harland C. Stonecipher Day" and hosted a Founder's Day event in his honor on November 9 to commemorate his life and contributions.

During the celebration, Rep. Tom Cole was awarded the Harland C. Stonecipher award for Public Service for his continual service in representing the state of Oklahoma. Rep. Cole is a fifth-generation Oklahoman with a significant background of service to his home state.

John Addison, Addison Leadership Group Chief Executive Officer, was awarded the Harland C. Stonecipher award for Entrepreneurial Vision for his contribution to improving the local community and the quality of life for others. Addison is the former Co-CEO of Primerica and currently serves on the Board of Directors for LegalShield.

Harland Stonecipher graduated from East Central State College in Ada, Oklahoma in 1959. In 1969, he was involved in an automobile accident that nearly left him in financial ruin.
