FoxFury Announces Portable Field Forensic Lighting Kits
OCEANSIDE, Calif., April 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- FoxFury Lighting Solutions announces its expanded lineup of both the Rook and HammerHead forensic lighting kits. These LED light sources aid forensic search and photography in the lab and field. These handheld lights feature anti-roll heads with a diffuser lens that provides a smooth, shadow-free light distribution.
FoxFury has offered wavelength specific LED forensic light sources since 2005. FoxFury's lineup of Rook and HammerHead forensic lighting tools are waterproof and can easily be cleaned and decontaminated. These extremely durable lighting tools feature an anti-roll head that prevents the lights from rolling off a flat surface. They also run on CR123 or 18650 batteries.
Rook Forensic lights are available in two separate kits. The Rook R3A Multi-Wavelengths Forensic Kit comes with one blue (450+470nm) and one UV (380+395nm) light source. These dual wavelength lights provide two peak intensities to find residue and evidence quickly. The Rook R3B Single-Wavelengths Forensic Kit comes with single wavelength blue (470nm) and UV (365nm) light sources and is ideal for inspections, laboratory, or field crime scene search. Rook forensic lights are best for searches up to 8ft (2.6m) away. Both kits include 1 white light, come with a protective case and orange and yellow goggles.
HammerHead Forensic lights are also available in two separate kits. The HammerHead H4A CSS FLS Kit is designed for general crime scene search. It comes with 4 single wavelength forensic light sources: blue (450nm), blue (470nm), UV (365nm) and UV (395nm). The kit also includes yellow and orange goggles.
The Hammerhead Forensic ALS Kit allows the user to select the most appropriate wavelengths (from UV to IR) that are tailored to their specific needs. This kit allows the user to select up to 4 HammerHead forensic light sources, 4 Scout forensic light sources and 3 goggles. These kits are best for searches up to 10ft (3m).
"FoxFury forensic lighting tools are tremendous field tools. They'll work with search and photography in any weather and location," said Mario Cugini, CEO of FoxFury.
Forensic lighting kits can be used for inspections (to help locate foreign particulate), on crime scene searches, as well as aid in photographing blood, bite marks, bruising, bones, teeth, latent prints, gunshot residue and serological evidence including semen, saliva and urine.
