FPL encourages employees to flex their "Power to Care" through weeklong volunteer efforts throughout Florida

JUNO BEACH, Fla., March 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida Power & Light Company's fourth annual Power to Care initiative kicks off today with more than 900 volunteers, including employees and their families, participating in 22 community volunteer projects throughout Florida. Spanning 10 counties, the weeklong volunteer initiative engages employees from all sectors of the company, including FPL President Eric Silagy. Volunteers will roll up their sleeves to help clean beaches and restore dunes, landscape gardens, spruce up parks, beautify schools, build homes for underprivileged families and more -- all in an effort to give back to the communities they serve.
