FPT wins new customer in a big Deal in Europe

-- FPT Software wins a 5-year-contract that is worth a high US$ two-digit million amount with RWE Group - one of the leading utility companies in Europe.

HANOI, Vietnam, June 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Yesterday in Berlin, Germany, Vietnam's leading IT corporation - FPT and RWE Group – one of Europe's leading utility companies have signed an agreement worth a high US$ two-digit million amount. The agreement does also include the acquisition of RWE IT Slovakia – a subsidiary of the RWE Group in Eastern Europe – by FPT Software that will turn RWE IT Slovakia into a future FPT Slovakia, a member of FPT family.

Mr. Peter Terium, CEO of RWE Group and Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Group did witness the signing to underline the importance of this agreement for both parties.

RWE IT Slovakia was established in 2004 and currently has more than 400 employees; most are experts in SAP area. As an internal IT Service provider RWE IT Slovakia delivers high quality services to RWE Group mainly in the area of SAP and 'Smart Home' solutions. Under the agreement with FPT, the IT services provided to RWE Group will be delivered jointly from FPT Software Vietnam and FPT Slovakia. Consequently the deal helps RWE Group to save US$ tens of millions in next five years and helps FPT to expand its global delivery capabilities especially in Europe and its expertise area of SAP, Utility domain and "Smart Home" solutions.

According to RWE Group, the company is very confident to achieve significant improvements in flexibility, scalability and cost efficiency.
