Fred Ishler joins Avison Young in Chicago

Highly regarded industry veteran becomes Principal;
will lead and grow firm's suburban Chicago agency leasing team

CHICAGO, Oct. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ - Danny Nikitas, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the firm's Chicago office, announced today the strategic hiring of agency leasing specialist Fred Ishler.

Effective immediately, Ishler becomes a Principal of Avison Young based in the firm's suburban Chicago office. He will focus on leading the firm's suburban Chicago office agency leasing team while also recruiting new agency leasing specialists. He was most recently with Transwestern in suburban Chicago, where he was executive vice-president in the company's agency leasing group and a member of its Midwest executive committee.

Ishler brings 28 years of commercial real estate experience to Avison Young. While at Transwestern, he co-led its Midwest leasing team, which recruited and retained tenants for a 3.5-msf office building portfolio. During his career, Ishler has negotiated suburban Chicago office leases spanning more than 30 msf. He has also provided advisory and analysis services in conjunction with office sales transactions covering more than 4 msf. Prior to joining Transwestern, he was a senior vice-president with CB Richard Ellis, a senior managing director at Insignia/ESG, an agency leasing specialist at Fifield Companies, and an office tenant-representation specialist at Studley.

His notable clients have included: Transwestern Development Company, Pearlmark Real Estate Partners, TriGate Capital, Deerpark Investors, Boxer Property, Miller Global Properties, Aetna Realty, Travelers, Archon Group, Fifield Companies, Soundview Real Estate, Multi-Employer Property Trust and Lionstone Investments. He has developed and coordinated the leasing campaigns for owners and landlords at many high-profile projects, including: Golf Tower; 3800 Golf Road; 701/747 E. 22nd Street; 999, 1011 and 1111 Touhy; Westwood of Lisle; Columbia Centre I II and III; One and Two Century Centre; One and Two Conway Park; 1350 Touhy Plaza; Naperville Corporate Center I, II, III and IV; 25 and 50 Northwest Point; Lisle Executive Center; Oak Brook Regency Towers; 1600 Golf Road; Deerbrook Corporate Center; 1900 Golf Road and Corridors I and II.

He has also earned Transwestern Building Team of the Year (2008), Landlord Representation Deal of the Year (2005) and Landlord Broker of the Year (2005) awards. He has also received a Landlord Representation award from the Archon Group (1999) and Midwest Agency Representative of the Year (1998) and Top Chicago Area Producer awards (1998, 2000) from Insignia/ESG.
