Freethink and Fast Company Launch Mini-Series Highlighting Disruptive Startups
Challengers profiles entrepreneurs who could transform entire industries
WASHINGTON, Nov. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Freethink, a newly-launched media publication focused on "stories from the frontiers," has announced an exclusive partnership with Fast Company Magazine to distribute Challengers, Freethink's latest series.
"There's an incredible wave of new entrepreneurs determined to improve life for everyone through their businesses," said Clay Broga, Co-Founder of Freethink. "We're committed to telling their stories in a way that will inform, challenge and inspire viewers — and we can't think of a better partner than Fast Company to join us in that mission."
Challengers highlights startup companies with disruptive potential across a variety of industries, including global trade, artificial intelligence, energy, education and virtual reality. Over the course of five episodes, Freethink filmmakers give viewers behind-the-scenes access to companies like Vicarious, which (with the support of Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos) is determined to create human-level artificial intelligence to solve the world's most intractable problems; Transatomic, which is designing a method of nuclear energy to meet the world's growing energy needs; and AltSchool, which is building a new school system to transform education for all children.
"Fast Company tells the stories of the most creative, focused, and passionate people of our times – and how their innovative thinking transforms industries and moves the culture forward," said Bill Shapiro, Fast Company's Director of Editorial and New Business Enterprises. "Freethink's Challengers series perfectly captures that spirit."
Challengers launches on November 28, delivering an episode each week for five weeks, and is the third series released by Freethink. Freethink's first two series – Superhuman and The New Space Race – have already been viewed nearly 7 million times.
