The latest addition of Sharma marks the 14th position FreeWave has added over the last several months. Sharma brings more than 15 years experience in the telecommunications industry with a strong background in engineering, business development, product management, strategy and marketing. With the addition of Sharma, FreeWave now has added several key players to its team and is poised to further the development of its global brand and expand its presence in key vertical markets.

Prior to joining FreeWave, Sharma was the Vice President of Marketing for Alvarion, a leading 4G company with global presence. At Alvarion, Sharma played an instrumental role in the early development and adoption of 4G technologies around the globe. Sharma established Alvarion's branding as a leading 4G WiMAX equipment provider through strong efforts with technology, products and industry positioning. Prior to joining Alvarion, Sharma worked for Ericsson Wireless Communications as a director of business unit sales. Sharma spearheaded strategic overseas product market planning, business development and negotiated several contracts. During his tenure with Ericsson, Sharma had the honor of leading an operational team in Salt Lake City, Utah during the Winter Olympics of 2002 to monitor and coordinate operations at 17 Olympic venues. Prior to Ericsson, Sharma worked for Qualcomm where he helped to develop some of the early CDMA systems.

In just the last few weeks, FreeWave added Clive Winkler, Ph.D., as its chief technology officer; Ralph Oriscello as a global business development executive for OEM sales; and, Blair Harness as a key member of its engineering department.
