The Places Worth Preserving photo contest offers monthly prize packs, chances to be featured on NationalGeographic.com and a grand prize California getaway that includes a VIP tour of Frei Ranch and luxurious stay at Yosemite National Park.

Honoring Frei Brothers Reserve's commitment to land and habitat preservation, the mission of Places Worth Preserving is to increase awareness of the importance of conservation and sustainability, from favorite backyard picnic spots to soaring redwood groves.

Entering the Places Worth Preserving photo contest is easy:

• Step One:  Take a photo of a place that's special, that's worthy of being preserved for generations to come. It can be as magnificent as a national monument, or as intimate as your backyard picnic spot.
• Step Two: Upload the picture to Frei Brothers Reserve's Places Worth Preserving tab on Facebook and draft a short caption explaining its significance to you. www.Facebook.com/FreiBrothersReserve
• Step Three: Frei Brothers Reserve along with National Geographic Traveler director of photography, Dan Westergren, will be selecting monthly winners and top photos to be featured on www.NationalGeographic.com/freibrothers. The grand prize California getaway winner will be selected in December.
