Fresh Thyme Rocks Detroit July 22: 3 Grand Openings, $15k to Local Charities and 750 Grocery Bags to Give Away

DETROIT, July 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Fresh Thyme Farmers Market has big plans in Detroit with stores opening in Troy, Rochester Hills and Northville on July 22^nd. Each store will host separate grand opening celebrations, charitable donations and grocery giveaways! Fresh Thyme openings have become highly anticipated with eager fans of the natural- and healthy-focused grocery stores lining up by the hundreds before the doors open at 7 a.m.

The first 250 shoppers in line at each store will receive a free reusable shopping bag filled with $50 worth of healthy, natural groceries. Plan to arrive early as lines typically form several hours prior to the doors opening; some stores have seen enthusiastic shoppers camp in line overnight. Additionally, there will be fun family activities, live entertainment and food samplings all day long! Check the grand opening schedule below for the highlighted events at each store.

Fresh Thyme will be donating a total of $15,000 to local charitable organizations with the check presentations and ribbon-cutting ceremonies being held at 6:45 a.m. at each store: $5,000 to Dinosaur Hills Nature Preserve (Rochester Hills Store), $5,000 to Northville Historical Society (Northville store), and $2,500 each to Troy Foundation for Educational Excellence and the upcoming Troy Dog Park (Troy store).
