Competing against five other talented home décor bloggers, KariAnne wowed the public with her room transformation to win $5,000 for her charity of choice – the Humane Society – as well as a spot in an upcoming national FrogTape® brand painter's tape magazine advertisement.

KariAnne turned an empty, open space in her farmhouse into a vibrant craft room for her family. To liven up the space, KariAnne looked to diamonds for her inspiration, designing a flower-like pattern on the floor and walls. Using FrogTape® painter's tape, she mapped out her design and painted each petal a different shade of coral to create a cheerful and feminine space. The new design is bright and colorful, featuring coral accessories throughout, along with monogramed pillows and inspirational signage to incorporate her assigned 2016 FrogTape® Design Trend — Presswork Palette. "This was one of my favorite projects to date," she noted. "It was a pleasure to compete for a good cause by doing something I love."
"It was an easy decision to choose the Humane Society as the charity I was competing for," said KariAnne. "We adopted our fun-loving, ball-catching dog, Buddy, from the shelter and I'm thrilled to have won this competition for all the animals that have yet to meet their forever family and those who are working tirelessly in centers across the country."
The challenge rules were simple; all six bloggers had to makeover their space using three things: paint, painter's tape and a $1,000 budget. The bloggers were each also assigned one of the 2016 FrogTape® Design Trends identified by celebrity interior designer, Taniya Nayak, as this year's hottest styles for the home. Rain on a Tin Roof: While transforming her master bedroom, Jenna wasn't afraid to go bold with a patterned black accent wall contrasted with pink and green accents — creating a glam space true to her style.
Refunk My Junk: Allison took a dark man cave and transformed it into a chic "she den" featuring textured, distressed furniture, handmade artwork and a shiplap accent wall.
The Happy Housie: Krista gave her basement family room a fresh and fab update by creating unique patterned walls and adding colorful accents to a clean, white space.
Vintage Revivals: Mandi put her painting skills to work with a geometric, patterned accent wall in a fresh color palette that made a big statement in her daughter's bedroom.
