From Anderson to the State House: Dr. Kristen Steely Celebrates 26 Years in Practice and Statewide Recognition

ANDERSON, S.C., Sept. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- October marks Spinal Health Month, and for Dr. Kristen Steely, owner of Anderson Wellness Center, this year's observance comes at a significant point in her career. Dr. Steely is celebrating 26 years in chiropractic practice, the completion of her term as President of the South Carolina Chiropractic Association (SCCA), and recognition by the South Carolina State House for her leadership and service to the profession.

During her presidency, Dr. Steely represented South Carolina chiropractors at the State House as state leaders recognized Spinal Health Month and the importance of spinal health and chiropractic care.

Dr. Steely was also honored with a South Carolina State House resolution recognizing her leadership and service during her tenure as SCCA President.

"Receiving that resolution was incredibly meaningful," said Dr. Steely. "Serving as President of the SCCA was an honor and a responsibility I took very seriously. I am proud of the work we accomplished for our doctors, our profession and, most importantly, the patients throughout South Carolina who benefit from access to chiropractic care."

Dr. Steely has served the SCCA for many years, including eight years on its Board of Directors. Although her presidential term has concluded, she continues to serve as Past President and remains committed to supporting the profession and the next generation of South Carolina chiropractors.

Her dedication was further recognized in June when she was named the 2026 SCCA Chiropractor of the Year, honoring her leadership, service and contributions to chiropractic in South Carolina.

For Dr. Steely, these milestones provide an opportunity to bring the focus back to the Anderson community she has served for more than two decades.

"After 26 years in practice, I am still just as passionate about helping people understand the importance of taking care of their spine," she said. "Your spine affects how you move, how you function and how you experience everyday life. Taking care of it should not begin only when you are hurting."

At Anderson Wellness Center, Dr. Steely and her team provide conservative care focused on improving mobility, function and quality of life. Services include chiropractic care, spinal decompression, Class IV laser therapy, shockwave therapy, massage therapy and rehabilitation.

Throughout October, the practice will recognize Spinal Health Month by educating the community about healthy movement and posture, injury prevention, disc health and maintaining mobility as we age.

Dr. Steely earned her B.A. in Biology with honors from Niagara University, where she played Division I women's basketball, and her Doctor of Chiropractic degree with honors from Life University.
