The paper details three primary levels of AI integration in agricultural equipment:
- Assist-Level AI: Supports operators through technologies such as guidance systems, implement control and automated equipment functions while keeping the operator in control.
- Advise-Level AI: Analyzes large volumes of machine and operational data to provide recommendations and decision support.
- Act-Level AI: Enables machines to execute tasks with greater autonomy, including targeted spray applications and autonomous field operations.
Responsible Deployment and Real-World Applications
Beyond defining how AI functions within equipment, the whitepaper also examines what is needed to put these capabilities to work safely and effectively. It connects responsible deployment practices with examples of how AI is already delivering value in agricultural operations.
