From Hollywood Blockbusters to the Page: Master Storyboard Artist Tony Liberatore Launches Two New Books With Arcturus Publishing & Launches Multiplatform Visual Arts Initiatives

The artist behind the action of Black Panther, Captain America, and Fast & Furious additionally offers an immersive, multiplatform look inside the craft of visual storytelling.

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What exactly does a storyboard artist do? Tony Liberatore—the master visual storyteller behind some of the most iconic action sequences in Black Panther, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Eternals, and the Fast & Furious franchise - breaks down the essential framework of visual storytelling with two upcoming guides and more.

Arcturus Publishing and Simon & Schuster will release his debut books, The Fast Cars Coloring Book (November 2026) and How to Create Storyboards for Action (January 2027).

Both are available for pre-order now.

These books are part of a larger effort by Liberatore to share filmmaking techniques and support new artists. This is both altruistic and practical, especially during the current downturn in entertainment industry jobs.

A self-made talent who bypassed traditional film school to become a three-time Art Directors Guild nominee and winner, Liberatore actively mentors emerging visual storytellers. In tandem with the books, he hosts The Action Lab—a free weekly masterclass on Discord where he breaks down iconic action scenes shot-by-shot—alongside instructional videos on his YouTube channel and dedicated portfolio insights at bigscreenboards.com.

The two upcoming titles offer distinct entry points into his dynamic cinematic world:

• The Fast Cars Coloring Book (Releasing November 2026): Features 45 high-octane, storyboard-inspired illustrations of Hollywood's most iconic vehicles and set-pieces, allowing automotive enthusiasts and film buffs to color the action themselves.
• How to Create Storyboards for Action (Releasing January 2027): A comprehensive, graphic novel-style industry guide. It features an exclusive foreword by Oscar-winning director Ryan Coogler. The book reveals how a director's primary visual blueprint dictates every moving part of a massive production—from cinematography and stunt choreography to final editing.

Packed with granular career advice, technical industry tips, and spectacular behind-the-scenes artwork, Liberatore's upcoming releases are essential text for film fans, comic lovers, and future filmmakers looking to master a digital-age craft.
