From Long Beach to the World: Campus Technology Forum Expands its Reach by Webcasting Event via Mediasite
Educational conference goes online for second consecutive year
MADISON, Wis., April 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sonic Foundry, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOFO), the trusted market leader for lecture capture, enterprise and event webcasting, today announced Mediasite will webcast the Campus Technology Forum taking place April 30 to May 2 in Long Beach, Calif.
The Campus Technology Forum is an intensive three-day event focused on the emerging digital campus and the technologies that forge the path to success. It aims to help attendees keep their institutions competitive, whether in the classroom or campus-wide. Leading innovators and experts in technology for higher education will discuss how to teach in a 21st century classroom.
Campus Technology invited Sonic Foundry to record the sessions via Mediasite and make them available for viewing on-demand for the second consecutive year.
The conference is the partner of the Campus Technology annual summer conference in Boston, MA. That conference will be webcast for the seventh consecutive year with Mediasite in July, making Campus Technology one of Sonic Foundry's oldest capture partners.
"Mediasite allows us to reach a larger audience, and this event is no exception. People who aren't able to physically attend can still watch the sessions remotely and gain the valuable information from the comfort of their homes or offices. Plus, those who attend the event in Long Beach can review sessions later on-demand. We are thrilled to once again use Mediasite to put the Campus Technology Forum online and share the knowledge globally," said Mike Eason, executive director of events for 1105 Media Education Group, coordinators of CT Forum and CT summer conference.
Trusted by more than 1,000 colleges and universities, the patented Mediasite webcasting and video content management system quickly and cost-effectively automates the capture, management, delivery and search of live and on-demand streaming videos and rich media presentations that combine video with slides.
