Front Line Infrastructure Services Appoints Matthew G. Simmons as Chief Executive Officer

Simmons, who most recently led Agile Utility Partners and spent 19 years at Pike Corporation, joins Front Line as CEO

HOUSTON, Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Front Line Infrastructure Services ("Front Line"), a leading provider of electrical infrastructure construction and maintenance services through its subsidiary Front Line Power Construction ("Front Line Power"), today announced the appointment of Matthew (Matt) G. Simmons as Chief Executive Officer.

A veteran utility services executive, Simmons has spent his career building and scaling infrastructure businesses that serve the nation's largest utilities. As Chief Executive Officer, Simmons will lead Front Line as it strengthens its partnership with utilities investing in long-term grid modernization.

Simmons joins Front Line at a pivotal time in the company's growth. Over the past 15 years, Front Line has delivered comprehensive infrastructure services to electric utilities, telecommunications providers and commercial and industrial facilities across Southeast Texas.

Simmons is a third-generation utility services executive. He spent 19 years at Pike Corporation, one of the largest infrastructure engineering and construction providers in the electric distribution and transmission space, rising to Senior Vice President. In 2024, he was named Chief Executive Officer of Agile Sourcing Partners (later rebranded Agile Utility Partners), a supply chain and technical field services provider to electric and gas utilities, where he led the company through a brand relaunch and expansion into new service lines. Most recently, Simmons served as an Operating Partner at Stellex Capital Management, a private equity firm, where he worked with portfolio companies across the infrastructure services sector. He holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
