TORONTO, Sept. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ - Frontera Energy Corporation (TSX: FEC) ("Frontera" or the "Company") is pleased to announce it has been named a Canadian Sustainable Development Goal award winner through public voting by the United Nations Global Compact Network Canada for the Company's outstanding efforts in adopting and implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in its engagement with indigenous communities in Colombia.
Frontera was recognized for its initiatives aimed at contributing to food sovereignty, access to clean water, institutional capacities with a differential approach, access to education, and promotion and prevention of diseases within the ethnic groups that are present in its areas of operations in Colombia.
