Frost & Sullivan Applauds Interstate Batteries for Being Voted the 'Overall Best' in the Automotive Battery Market by a Wide Margin

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Dec. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on its recent analysis of the automotive batteries market, Frost & Sullivan recognizes Interstate Batteries, Inc. with the 2014 United States Frost & Sullivan Award for Product Leadership. Interstate Batteries' products are considered the best in the automotive industry for their battery quality and maintenance. Since 2007, every year, at least 50 percent of automotive technicians have chosen Interstate Batteries as the overall best brand, while the nearest competitor has never been granted the top ranking by more than 12 percent of the technicians.
In addition to the most number of "overall best" ratings, 93 percent of technicians whose shops primarily install Interstate Batteries' products rate Interstate Batteries as the top brand. This combination of top "overall best" rating and strong leadership index (LI) score has earned the company the top Product Leadership index score, normalized to 10.0. Interstate Batteries is unchallenged in the Product Leader quadrant, while competitors are in vulnerable-to-critical positions.

Even technicians who do not work in shops that install Interstate Batteries regard the products highly; so much so that 19 percent of those who do not primarily install Interstate Batteries selected Interstate Batteries as the overall best.
In technicians' comparisons of Interstate Batteries and its nearest competitor, the former leads in 13 of the 16 specific purchase factors. It is particularly strong on quality, brand reputation, and accuracy of order filling. Many technicians who rated it the "best" were especially appreciative of the longevity of the products and their ability to hold a charge.
